This is a quick and filling dish that can be prepared in a single pot. Parzybroda is served with bread. A lenten version (i.e. without meat) is often served on Fridays.


1.    500 g cabbage
2.    500 g potatoes
3.    1 bunch of mixed vegetables
4.    500 g beef or pork
5.    a handful of dried mushrooms
6.    caraway, allspice, mustard, salt and pepper


Cut the meat into cubes. Add the mushrooms and spices. Boil until tender. Chop the cabbage, potatoes and mixed vegetables.
Pour into strained meat stock. Boil for about 40 minutes. Add the meat, spices, salt and pepper.
